PP Event Flyer (1).png

We are so thrilled to announce that our Pronghorn Pursuit Trail Run is back! Trail runners of all levels are invited back to Dillon in early August to take part in the Pronghorn Pursuit.  Much of our community will be involved in hosting this event, and are eager for you to spend time with us and discover all that the Dillon area has to offer. Dillon is a welcoming and authentically Western town, located in a scenic river valley enclosed by sweeping mountain ranges. Our community supports many diverse recreation activities, including world-class fly fishing. We’re excited to have runners discover our trails, made possible through the hard work of the members of the Beaverhead Trails Coalition.  The Pronghorn Pursuit, exclusively off-pavement, meanders through the gorgeous sagebrush hills of the High Trails System, with spectacular views of the Beaverhead River Valley below. The 15k course is challenging and will put your summer fitness to the test with 90% singletrack and 2400’ of climbing. The course is a great mix of steep climbs and technical descents interspersed with sections of fast, flowing singletrack. The 5K course offers a similar technical mix and the same great views, but at a more manageable scale for many runners. You can still expect to be challenged by this course, with some steeper sections climbing over 500’, but can look forward to the last kilometer being all downhill and smiles.

Tentatively: Early Race Packet pick-up will be the day before the race from 3pm to 6pm.  We will update where this will be once we have determined details.

Race Day registration starts at 8am               15k starts at 8am               5k starts at 8:45am

A mini expo will be set at the trailhead/course start & end for you to relax and discover what the Dillon area has to offer while waiting for the award ceremony.
